Upsizing (2015)

Upsizing (2015)

Upsizing relates to the trend in Australia to purchase bigger homes with more rooms, despite the fact that the home often has fewer occupants. No longer is the family home just a place of shelter, but it is also seen as a symbol of financial and social status. What better than real estate close to the ocean!! Hermit crabs, being local seaside residents, perform this very same phenomenon. Does it speak of social status too?
